How do the successful internet entrepreneurs manage to post to blogs, do all the social medias, develop new products, go to seminars, do coaching, product launches, write e books and articles when I don’t seem capable of even staying updated on the tasks Alex has given us ? Of course they are full time and not sitting down in front of the computer at 9 pm when the rest of the family is either in bed or watchnig TV. Nevertheless, some internet marketers seem very prolific and can’t be doing everything on their own. Their secret is of course outsourcing. I got an email from a guy named Jeff Mills and he teaches about outsourcing. I listened to one of his teleseminars and it was enlightening. I had heard of elance and similar sites but hadn’t thought much about it and it dawned on me that I can conduct my internet business just as I do with my off line company: make plans and draw objectives and try to get my employees to do the work.
I am rather good at giving directives and delegating. I would love to be able to just email somebody:”I need a new site for this or this niche and a blog to go with it, everything SEO optimzed of course and new social media accounts opened to promote the new site and blog.” I would then ask another virtual assistant to write the posts and the articles to go with the suject. And I’ll be all set and could watch the euros spilling into my account.
Well, for the moment it is a dream but this is certainly what I will be doing in a near future. For the moment, 2 main reasons prevent me from taking this step: First I think it is essential that I learn how things work before asking anybody else to do it. Secondly, even if it is cheap I will wait until I get some money in before I invest in getting help.
Nevertheless, the ability to be able to outsource easily for a competitive price and without needing to employ people directly is wonderful (if you have been an employer in France you know what I mean!). All the new technology is making this possible, I find this just awsome.
I did register at elance anyway and had a look around. Very soon I will give it a try, I just don’t feel ready yet.
If you have had an experience with outsourcing some tasks, I’d be happy to hear about it.
