Back to Alex Jeffreys’ teachings

Home

I see that I have not posted for almost a year on this blog. This doesn’t mean I haven’t done anything this last year. Quite the contrary.

First of all, I have been battling with my fitness clubs, trying desperatly to get them to work well enough to at least pay for the fixes fees. But I am loosing the battle… I managed to get rid of one club last year and to cut the losses and concentrate on the other one, which was performing better. Unfortunatly the economy seems unwilling to get any better, and since decembre, it has been downhill, and no potential buyer to be seen either.

All this made me lag behind with Alex Jeffreys’ coaching and I completly dropped off towards the end. It is a pity. To try to make up for that, I then started PPC, which seemed a good way to get the fast money I so desparatly needed. I got some success but, again, I did not have the time to follow through and properly monitor my campaigns on a regular basis. I still run a few campaigns  but I would need to work a little more on this too.

A few months ago, I started with some niche marketing. Which is fun. I learned a lot and I am currently working on driving more traffic as well as optimizing SEO on my sites.

SEO really fascinates me. I have put up a blog about SEO  as I realized the power of his technique: http://marketingcashprofits.com (it is not finished yet, but I am working on it)

I have studied SEO intensely  and am using the techniques for my niche sites as well as for the site I have for my fitness club. I do not really need adwords anymore for my fitness club  site as it locally shows up on top of the first page on google for all the keywords. I only run a site placement campaign, as well as a very targeted campaign on facebook.

I am still just as passionate about internet marketing as I was when I started out, if not more. I am delighted each time I learn something new and it really fascinates me.

Now, you might wonder how I manage do all of this still running my off line business that is loosing ground (I worked a full time job also for some time and I’ve got a family).

Well, the answer is I have been outsourcing. I wrote about this in a post long time ago  and I finally did it.

I tried elance without success and was discouraged. Finally I tried again with odesk and found a very valuable assistant from the Philippines.

She is the one who has ensured that I have been able to continue building my business.

I am now working on my SEO site because I want to get back into the internet marketing business. There are several reasons for this:

- I  have now learned so many things, made so many mistakes (very costly mstakes) that I know I have a lot to teach people starting out. I begun one year ago with no knowledge what so ever about internet or HTML (did barely know what it stood for) and now I am able to put up websites by my self! and lot’s of other things…

- when working in the IM niche, it is possible to make a living while learning along the road. You can provide value to other people all the while you expand your business. Having been through it all, enables you to really give valuable advice and help newbies to start on this journey which takes time and dedication.

- also I realized, thanks to google analytics, that I was still getting some traffic on this blog, and it is on the second page of google for keywords such as ” alex jeffreys students”, so I am piggy backing on Alex’s fame!

- and finally many of the students from the first coaching group are doing well, I receive regular emails from some of them and I should certainly keep in touch with them as they might be possible JV partners, much easier to approach than perfect strangers.

It was when I watched Alex Jeffreys’ last video the gurus nightmare that I decided to start updating this blog. I think Alex has always overdelivered and I am impatient to hear what else he has to say. And I would welcome all the help I can get as I will probably file for bankruptcy soon and IM will be my sole income and my only hope to pay of the debts I will be left with.

I am confident though. At least, in a short time, I will have all the time I need to dedicate to an activity I choose and that I absolutely love doing.
